What Do the Recent Southern California Fires and Eczema Have in Common?

See this content in the original post

If it feels like your skin is on fire too, you aren’t crazy. The Santa Ana conditions that are giving rise to many of the fires in California recently also make living with eczema very difficult. The dry, fast-moving air makes everyone’s skin more itchy, especially those with eczema. That, along with the smoke and dust in the air, leads to flares of eczema. So, if you have eczema and it’s getting worse right now, don’t be concerned that you are doing something wrong. Just use moisturizers even more often than you do already, call your doctor if it gets very bad and know that it will get better as the weather changes.
